Iserlohn defeats runner-up Wolfsburg in overtime

The Iserlohn Roosters won the catch-up game from the 42nd matchday of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) at runner-up Grizzlys Wolfsburg after extra time with 3:2 (0:0, 0:1, 2:1, 1:0).

It was the fourth win in a row for the guests, Iserlohn is in twelfth place in the table. The second-placed Wolfsburg conceded the second defeat in a row.

The Roosters’ winning goal came from Ryan O’Connor in the second minute of overtime. The game ended the Olympic break for both teams, Iserlohn is back in action against the Augsburg Panthers on Sunday (4:30 p.m. / MagentaSport).

The DEL had agreed with the clubs that DEL games could also take place during the Winter Games in Beijing. The prerequisite is that the teams agree on a date and want to play.
