She would never be able to walk again, but now Isa (20) from Roosendaal is training for a kilometer during the Wings for Life World Run in Breda. Last year, the super sporty fit girl received terrible news after a skiing accident in Austria: she broke her back, neck and sternum and suffered a spinal cord injury. Doctors said she would probably never walk again. By training hard, she can now walk short distances again with crutches or a walker. This Sunday she hopes to complete a kilometer in the running competition, the entry fee for which will go to spinal cord injury research. Read her story here.
