Denver Post hockey supplier Mike Chambers got to watch the Colorado Avalanche Championships up close.

Avalanche won the Stanley Cup final against Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2. The championship was expected in Denver, as Avalanche has been one of the best in the NHL for the past couple of seasons, but has not been able to win. The previous Stanley Cup came in 2001.

Journalist Chambers took the joy out of the victory and posted pictures on social media in which he posed with a cigar in his mouth and a trophy in his hands.

– Probably the most memorable experience of my career, Chambers wrote in the cover text.

“Calm down”

At the same time, the editor of the local newspaper broke the label. Usually only members of the club can apply to the Stanley Cup.

This was not the only label Chambers broke. Journalists are required to be objective in the reports they report. Now a reporter writing for the Denver Post was at the party.

Chambers received harsh criticism in the comments section of their update.

– This is the moment when Mike lost his credibility as a journalist, a colleague of Chambers Ron Clements comments.

– Are you a journalist or a fan boy, another colleague George Diaz asked.

Defenders were also found for Chambers.

– I laugh at the hypocritical journalists who portray the enraged here. This is not a big deal. It’s fun and humane, he reports of the game. It’s a game! It’s a sport. Calm down, reporter Vic Lombardi comments.
