Estavana Polman is leaving the Dutch handball team and that means that she will soon have enough time to do things for television again. “Is she going to revive that?”
It has been nice, says Estavana Polman. Rafael van der Vaart’s girlfriend announced her retirement from the Dutch handball team on Friday and, according to Leontine van Moorsel, there is nothing standing in the way of her pursuing a TV career. “She is just so herself,” says the former cycling professional Show news.
So witty
Show expert Bart Ettekoven thinks Estavana is really great on TV. “She always makes me laugh so much at De Oranjezomer. She can blurt out something that is so witty.”
Leontien then: “That is why she fits perfectly with Rafael van der Vaart, because the two have found each other in that area. They are two such nice, funny people together. No filter and they just say what they feel at that moment. That is amazing.”
New life
Estavana successfully presented a season of the program Beter Laat Dan Nooit for SBS 6. Show news host Eva Vloon: “Do you think she will now revive her TV career?”
Bart: “Ehhh, I don’t know. She just enjoyed doing that, but I never had the impression that she was very ambitious about it. Of course, she now has more time, so let’s hope that the broadcasters will offer her opportunities, because she really enjoyed doing Better Late Than Never with those men.”

Eva is a fan of Estavana. “Yes, she was such a nice talker on TV. We already have enough people who color within the lines, right?”
Bart: “Yes, very disarming, firing questions at those men. There were some really great conversations. Also at De Oranjezomer she can ask a nice question or something that makes you laugh so much or come up with an angle that you had not thought of. I think she is a real talent in that respect.”
Inspiring
According to Bart, there is a rumor that Estavana will become the new presenter of Beter Laat Dan Nooit, the program in which elderly people travel together. This was always presented by Martine van Os, but she stopped after years of complaining about her workload.
Broadcaster MAX boss Jan Slagter about Estavana: “I think she is an inspiring woman with a beautiful personality. Who knows, if we have a program that suits her, we will certainly contact her.”
