The AthleticAccording to the International Hockey Federation, Russia will be punished. The IIHF board will meet on Monday to discuss the issue.
According to The Athletic, the federations of the various countries are likely to agree that Russia will not be invited to future tournaments organized by the IIHF, which include the World Championships for men and women, the U20 and U18 men’s games and the U18 women’s games.
The World Championships for both men and young people from 2023 may also be exported from Russia.
According to the newspaper, Switzerland, Latvia and several other unions have appealed to the IIHF to remove Russia and Belarus from the IIHF and to postpone the events of 2023.
