Ambulance at Castle Drakensteyn
The gates were already open when an ambulance bellowed into Princess Beatrix’s estate on Thursday morning. The military police received the ambulance at the entrance gate. A little over fifteen minutes later, the ambulance left again, without flashing lights and sirens. A passenger car also left the site.
‘Alive and kicking’
The question immediately arose: how is the 84-year-old princess doing? After a few uncertain hours, the Government Information Service gives a definitive answer. According to the organization, Princess Beatrix ‘alive and kicking’† The ambulance arrived at the princess’s estate for someone else. It is still unclear for whom and for what reason the ambulance came to Drakensteyn Castle.
