In their search for reinforcements for the defense, BVB has apparently come across a talent from Madrid. But a transfer seems unlikely.

According to a media report, Borussia Dortmund has its eye on a talent from Spanish top club Real Madrid. According to “The Athletic”, BVB is said to have specific interest in Joan Martínez. The 18-year-old plays in the central defender position. According to “transfermarkt.de”, his market value is currently three million euros.

In addition to Dortmund, other big clubs are also said to have Martínez on their list. The report does not reveal which clubs these are.

Martínez is 1.92 meters tall and currently plays for the “Royal” second team, Real Madrid Castilla. Setback for BVB: The Spanish youth international is not expected to leave the club, writes “The Athletic”. The Madrilenians have great confidence in him.

It was only last October that Martínez signed a contract extension in the Spanish capital – after being out for a long time in the previous season due to a serious knee injury. An exit clause should be anchored in the new working paper. This should be in the region of around 70 million euros. According to the report, this is a higher sum than is usual for Real Madrid youth players.
