Hélène Hendriks has signed a new contract with Talpa. Has she now made the leap up and is she at the level of the men of Today Inside? “It would be very deserved.”
Hélène Hendriks would have preferred that the men from Today Inside had already agreed to stay with Talpa, but in the end she did not wait for that. In the spring she signed a new contract with John de Mol’s media company and not just any contract, but a contract that binds her to the channel group for five (!) years.
Million euros
Nowadays it rarely happens that presenters get such a long-term contract, but apparently Talpa already feels the mood: if the men of VI quit in a year, then Hélène is the big star who can take over.

‘Would have been deserved’
Although Victor is a regular guest of Hélène, he has not received any information about this. “I don’t know, but I wondered about it too. Considering the viewing figures, it just wouldn’t be undeserved.”
Maanvis then: “Maybe we’ll throw the ball around when Tina Nijkamp is present at VI or something, because the narrative now often is that the three gentlemen carry the transmitter, but I see and think that Hélène also belongs in that list.”
Hard worker
One thing is certain: Hélène likes to present herself as a hard worker, especially after her long absence last summer due to a back operation. “I got that from home. With us it used to be: don’t talk, just clean,” she says in the Veronica Super guide.
That’s why she said yes to The Staatsloterij Show. “I am someone who does not easily say ‘no’. In addition, it is also loyalty to my employer. Your employer pays you, so you just have to deliver. When I was out last summer, I had the feeling: I am going to make up those hours. I put that pressure on myself.”
