Tribute from music circles

Kanye West, who worked with IRV Gotti a few years ago, also shared a tribute. With him, however, the obituary was less word: there was only a screenshot of the death report, provided with the emoji of a white pigeon. It already looked different 50 cents out of. Irv Gotti: Short biography

Irv Gotti took his first steps in the music scene in 1995 and produced his album The Natural for Mic Geronimo. Working with Jay-Z followed on his debut Reasonable Doubt (1996) and with DMX and yes Rule. In 2000 he founded his label Murder Inc. Records as a subcontractor of Def Jam Recordings, where he previously worked as an A&R. With this he helped Ashanti to success.

After various restructuring and legal dispute, the two Kanye-West songs were “Violent Crimes” and “Brothers” (2018) Gotti’s last productions. At the end of his life, the producer had increasingly struggled with diabetes and strokes and finally died on February 5, 2025 at the age of 54 in his hometown of New York.
