Irritant gas sprayed in school – seven students injured

A teenager sprayed irritant gas in a school in Elstal in Havelland on Friday.

Seven students between the ages of 13 and 15 were injured, police said. The school building was evacuated.

The police found the teenager, who is said to have sprayed the gas with a device, still at school. He is now being investigated on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

According to the police, the injured children and young people complained of respiratory problems and were taken to hospitals for examination.
