Iron Maiden live in Cologne 2022: Tickets, directions and weather

This Saturday (July 2nd, 2022) Iron Maiden will play at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne as part of their “Legacy Of The Beast” European Tour. We have all the information about the concert at a glance.

The show marks the British heavy metal veterans’ first appearance in Cologne since the 1990s. A performance in Cologne was actually planned for 2020, but the date had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic.

Iron Maiden

As pioneers of heavy metal, Iron Maiden have achieved success since the early 1980s. Her biggest hits included “Fear of the Dark”, “Run to the Hills” and “The Number of the Beast”. As of 2021, the band have sold over 200 million units of their albums and singles worldwide. They have also received numerous awards – including four Grammys for best metal performance.

Admission and start of the concert

Admission begins at 4 p.m. Airbourne and then Lord of the Lost are expected to open at 5:45 p.m. Iron Maiden should appear around 8 p.m. The concert will end around 10:45 p.m.

You can also easily reach the RheinEnergieSTADION by public transport. It is best to use tram lines 1 and 7 of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) or the S-Bahn lines S12 and S19. Tram line 1 stops directly at the RheinEnergieSTADION. Tram line 7 runs south of the RheinEnergieSTADION. From the “Stüttgenhof” stop, you can then walk to the venue.

You can also use the free shuttle service to the stadium. From the “Haus Vorst/Marsdorf” bus stop, a bus will take concert guests from 4 p.m. to the Südallee/Junkersdorf bus stop near the stadium. In addition, there are 7,500 parking spaces around the stadium for anyone arriving by car.

Don’t worry – Cologne will show itself from its most beautiful side on July 2nd. With bright sunshine and summer temperatures of 29 degrees and a light wind, the perfect conditions for a great concert evening are created from 6 p.m. In the course of the evening, the temperature drops to 21 degrees – the chance of rain remains at 0 percent and there is also a weak wind.
