Irene Moors has lost twenty kilos, possibly to get back on the radar from John de Mol, but denies Ozempic use. She refers to orthomolecular therapy. “Quackery!”

It is no secret: if you are a fat woman, you have little chance at John de Mol and he manages just about half of the commercial TV world. Patty Brard revealed in 2018 that the Mediatycoon would rather not have women over 50 kilos on a channel. “He doesn’t like some fuller women on television. He wants them thin and blonde.”

Weight clause

Only when Patty had lost a lot of weight, John offered her a nice contract. She revealed in her biography in 2020 that he then wanted to include a weight clause in her contract. “I said my financial adviser:” On Monday morning, that backward paragraph about that weight is out, or they’ll find it out with their entire contract. “

In the end, Patty had that section adjusted. “We have made it ‘appearance’. So that I have to keep the same appearance running the duration of the contract.”

Twenty kilos

Anyway: Irene has been in the TV Greppel for years, but has now lost twenty kilos, she makes a big famous Instagram (see below), possibly in the hope that John is going to follow. “September 2025 and September 2024: a difference of 20 kilos. I never felt heavy or too fat. Just a big woman with my 1.83 meters and size 44.”

She continues: “But that I feel that every day I felt a kilo ‘inhaled’, at night suffered from hot flashes and badly stuffed me. Transition. What to do? Hormones, plasters, pills, waiting until it is over …”

Nutrition plan

What did Irene do? “I decided to try it with a healthy diet first. Have an orthomolecular therapist punctured blood and followed a tight nutrition plan as a result. Discipline I have, so I strictly kept it. I am not saying that it was easy, but it worked! I slept well, hardly any hot flashes and I dropped out.”

She continues: “That is motivating. I am now almost a year further. I feel healthy and fit. I still do not eat according to the rules and occasionally not at all … because it must remain fun … so no, I do not use ozempic, no powders and no pills. Healthy food (which suits you) and exercise.”

Quackery

Maarten Bloem, editorial coordinator of Veronica Superguide, is extremely critical. “Orthokwakzalverij,” he shouts Xpointing to the fact that orthomolecular medicine in the medical world is often seen as pseudoscience.

There is little to no scientific evidence that the advice of orthomolecular therapists work as is claimed. Critics believe that they often sell expensive supplements and unnecessary blood tests, while the added value is debatable. And Maarten now counts Irene that she promotes this to the people.

‘Where is a will’

There is also criticism among Irene’s post itself. “I have also lost more than 20 kilos, without any help from some therapist, sleek nutrition or sports. Where there is a will, is a way. I think it’s great of her, but not exceptional. The tight nutrition plans in particular cannot be sustained in the long term. But, success!”, Angelique.

And one Patricia thinks it faints that Irene pretends Ozempic would be something mild. “I just think it’s a shame that there is such a negative vibe about an ozempic or other means. That is also not easy for you and you have to eat and exercise healthy, otherwise it will not help either.”
