Iranians demonstrate in Amsterdam because of death Mahsa Amini

Dozens of Iranians protested on Dam Square in Amsterdam this afternoon because of the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. She was arrested by the Iranian religious police for allegedly wearing her headscarf incorrectly.

The demonstrators carried placards that read ‘women life freedom’, ‘end Iran dictatorship’ and ‘Iranian lives matters’. They also showed pictures of Amini.

Amini was brutally arrested, according to witnesses. Iranian police say she died of a heart attack, but her family says the 20-year-old had no heart disease and was healthy.

In Iran, but also in other countries, there have been demonstrations against the Iranian regime in recent days. Women also cut their hair and burn their headscarves in protest.
