Non our “career” as readers we have met positive and negative characters, energetic or staid women, who, however, within the folds of the plot, of which they were not always the main protagonists, inspired us, gave us a spark.
Here because iO Woman devised the Heroines of today Literary Awarddedicated to female characters who impressed us the most during the year.
Regulation
Italian novels, by authors, published in the period from 15 November 2022 to 31 October 2023 can participate. Self-published books are not accepted.
Among the recommendations received from readers and the editorial staff, a shortlist of 5 finalists was selected. Among these, a jury of booksellers, chosen from all over Italy, and two members of the editorial staff of iO Womanwill identify the winner.
The jury
The jury of booksellers scheduled for 2023 is made up of: Blessed Andrigo (Nautilus Coop, Mantua), Enza Campino (Tuttilibri, Formia), Mary Laterza (Laterza, Bari), Barbara Pieralice (New Europe, Rome), Eleonora Tassoni (Rebirth, Ascoli), Manuela Stefanelli (Hoepli, Milan).
