Inzaghi on Lazio-Inter: “Extraordinary group, the boys don’t listen and pedal”

The Nerazzurri coach smiles after the 6-0 with which he harassed Lazio: “Many things have been said, but fortunately the players – like their coach – listen little and pedal”

December 16 – 11.20pm – MILAN

Inzaghi is beaming. He applauds, smiles, grins. And God forbid if it were the opposite, after the clear 6-0 defeat at home to Lazio: “Having beaten a team in an excellent moment is a great satisfaction. We held out in the first minutes and then raised the technical level. It’s been three and a half years that these guys give me enormous commitment, I’m proud to be their coach. But we haven’t done anything yet… It wasn’t easy to prepare for a match like this in just 4 days. Everything will be complicated in the next few weeks, with the match against Fiorentina to be recovered, the Super Cup and all the others, but in the last two and a half months we have had great continuity. However, the ranking is clear: many teams are doing well.”

Inter then went back to not conceding a goal. “After the goal conceded by Parma last week I was angry, because we didn’t deserve to suffer it. But these guys deserve an applause: in defense without Acerbi and Pavard we have difficulty with rotations. I had to make the calculations by inserting Darmian as an assistant since Bisseck was booked , but everyone was good as always. What I’m most proud of is seeing the crazy effort my players put in, and they show it to me every day. It’s a great group, they all deserve to play and I have to do some choices”. Finally, the jab: “Since the derby we lost, many people couldn’t wait for us to stumble and unfortunately it happened in Leverkusen. A lot has been said, but like their coach, fortunately the players listen little and pedal…”.
