Inzaghi and the Champions League final: “Inter are underdogs against City, but we have to fulfill a dream”

The Nerazzurri coach: “All together we have shown that anything can be achieved. An exciting match to experience”

“We will certainly not start with the favors of the forecast. But football is beautiful for this. We meet Manchester City, one of the strongest teams in the world, with a coach we all know. All together we have shown that anything can be achieved, now we have to crown everything we have done so far with this final which will be very exciting to experience”. These are the words of Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, to the microphones of “Uefa Champions League Magazine”.

And again: “What we saw on the pitch was a long and difficult journey, but it is a final won with full merit. It’s a source of great pride, it’s been a long time since an Italian has played in a Champions League final”.

The Turkish

Turkish Hakan Calhanoglu was also interviewed by the UEFA website, just in view of the Champions League final scheduled in Istanbul on Saturday 10 June. “I’m very close to it – said the Turkish player who will play at home -, it’s normal to dream a little. I have to be honest: I knew we could reach the final. I want to be the first Turkish player to win the Cup, and we will play in Istanbul, my country. I hope the dream comes true.”
