After 36 years, the career of Frank Deboosere (64) on the VRT has come to an end. Tonight he released his latest weather report and friends and colleagues waved him goodbye in a TV special. One of Flanders’ most trusted faces disappears from the screen, but not without a farewell interview. From fear of the black hole over the ‘Deboosere-bakkes’ to his softie image. “People think I’m a kind of priest who only eats raw celery and drinks nothing but water. But who says that’s right?”
