INTERVIEW. After the Charleroi fiasco: why even this hardly causes damage to image

After two days of chaos at the airport in Charleroi, trade unions and management reached an agreement this morning. Although even today departing travelers were there for the trouble: the door remained closed. In vain, crying and pushing passengers tried to squeeze into the airport yesterday. Transport economist Eddy Van de Voorde (UAntwerp) draws up the balance sheet and explains why Charleroi gets away with it and does not become a second Schiphol.
