The former player of athletic club and the Deportivo Alaves, Ibai Gomez, has signed for Iranian club Foolad Khuzestan F.C.to play in April Asian Champions League. The footballer has confirmed it personally on his social networks.
“I’m ready for the Asian Champions League, I’m sure it will be a great experience“, stated the 32-year-old striker without a team since he left Athletic Club at the end of last season. “After months of training on my own, the opportunity has come to restore the illusion with which I played seasons ago. I needed a project that would motivate me and it has arrived”has added.
The project undertaken by Santutxu is “far from home” and it’s a stay of ‘Little time“, but who gives “a lot of emotional value. It is a month of competition to return to enjoy what I like the most”, Ibai Gómez has assured.
