Hentschel’s music journalistic contributions have also appeared in the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, “Wired”, “GQ” and in “Spiegel”, among others, he has worked for Deutschlandfunk and Arte. In 2018, Rowohlt published a book about the culture of the 1990s, “Zu geil fürdiese Welt” (Too cool for this world), and this year the same publisher published “Dann wir Helden”, his observation of pop music in the Federal Republic and the GDR.

The colleagues from “Musikexpress” can also be happy: Annett Scheffel’s text about Lorde, “Die Feine Kunst des Draufscheissens”, received the prize for the “Best Music Journalistic Work of the Year – German” at the “International Music Journalism Awards”.
