Inter Primavera, 0-3 at Juventus with Hoti, Jurgens and Abiuso: who they are

Yesterday Inter Primavera scrambled the equal age bianconeri in the derby of Italy with a sharp 0-3 in Vinovo: here are the protagonists

A 3-0 in an Italian derby cannot go unnoticed. And patience when it comes to Primavera, because in any category the flavor of the match is special if you play against the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri. Hoti, Jurgens and Abiuso: yesterday they were the ones to lay out Andrea Bonatti’s team, to the delight of Christian Chivu and the whole Inter world. The match was clearly a collective triumph – which was also worth overtaking the historical rivals in the standings – but there is no better occasion to deepen the profiles of the three protagonists of the Vinovo match report.

If the trip to Piedmont was unlocked after only 22 minutes, the credit goes to the central defender in Chivu. Nineteen years old next Wednesday, a Kosovar born in Switzerland is a product of the Zurich nursery, who joined the Nerazzurri just over two years ago for around 150,000 euros. His box is undoubtedly that of the central defender, even if his qualities have already led him to have occasional experiences as a midfielder and right-back. Sense of remarkable position despite his young age, Hoti is in the first center in the Nerazzurri and has chosen to sign on one of the most important occasions, in the home of the enemy. Even if some goals had already been seen in Switzerland at the time of the Under 18 team, it is not exactly the house specialty. Safe and reliable, the defender already called up four times with the Kosovo Under-21 already has a professional football physique and manages to assert his 191 centimeters without falling into impetuousness: the only two yellow cards in 14 appearances are still an average halved compared to that. to last year (4 on 13 occasions). He is good in advances and quick, even if the ball and chain still has a lot of room for improvement, as well as in some game readings. In any case, Lorenzo Peschetola’s corner kick was too succulent not to add an item to the curriculum.

If the Italian Primavera derby remained in the balance for another portion of the game – albeit well controlled by Inter – it was he who put the Juventus goalkeeper on an invitation from Valentin Carboni in the second half. The Estonian center-forward is new for September 2020, even though the 18-year-old had already been in Italy for a couple of years. The first merit was in fact from Verona, who fished him at home at the age of 16, fascinated by the sensational numbers of an incredibly prolific talent. In 2018 he made his debut in the first team, in the Estonian third division, with 7 goals in 8 appearances, while with his Under 17 team he scored 31 in 14 appearances, 10 of which in a single match. The following year he began the youth season with 18 rings in 4 days, thus moving definitively to the first team: 28 goals in 17 matches. The impact with Italian football was excellent – 8 goals and 4 assists in 13 matches with Verona Under 17 – and then 4 goals in as many appearances for Roma. Last year with the Inter Under 18 he came close to the “double double” with 12 centers and 9 assists, while this season he is taking measures with a much more competitive category. That with Juventus was the fourth heavy joy, but that curriculum promises an increase in production, now that it has been unlocked. In February it’s the third ring: it’s not a black month for all of Inter. The technical profile? Jurgens is a typical second striker, attacks depth well and is very quick. He gives the best of himself alongside a striker, with the coldness in front of goal that has made his fortune.

He put the icing on the cake, taking over just a couple of minutes earlier. But don’t think of a guy from the Cesarini area: Abiuso is the second best scorer in Chivu’s squad after Cesare Casadei and the one against Juventus was the seventh center of the championship, the ninth of the season with the two in the Youth League at Sheriff’s home. Tiraspol and Real Madrid. Born in Sassuolo and raised in neroverde until 2017, the talent moved to Modena after a season at Reggio Audace. The Gialloblù still hold his card, but the two-year loan in Milan is going very well. He, too, well over six feet, unlike Jurgens, is in the best season of his life in terms of production: he is growing visibly. Skillful with his back to goal, he is a first striker with the ability to pick up the team: ask him for banks and aerial play. Christian Chivu smiles, Simone Inzaghi observes with pleasure.
