Inter Milan maintain title chance

The Italian football champions Inter Milan kept their chances of successfully defending their title on the 32nd matchday of Serie A.

The Lombards won 2-0 (2-0) against Hellas Verona and initially moved into second place with 66 points behind local rivals and leaders AC Milan (67 points). A week ago, Inter won 1-0 at record champions Juventus Turin.

Nicolo Barella (22nd) and ex-Bundesliga professional Edin Dzeko (30th) scored the Inter goals. The preliminary work was done by the former Wolfsburg, Dortmund and Munich Ivan Perisic. International player Robin Gosens came on as a 59th-minute substitute for Inter, who are unbeaten in six games.
