Inter Milan have agreed with Stefan de Vrij that the 32-year-old central defender will stay on for a longer period of time. The Dutchman has signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri until 2025.
In the 2021 champions’ current squad, where de Vrij has made more than 200 appearances since 2018, only team-mate Lautaro Martínez (25) has more games to his name than the Oranje international, who is also historically one of Inter’s most-used defenders. In the TM database, he is listed as the club’s 20th defender and eleventh centre-back to make 200 appearances.
