Both chose the Campania island to spend a few days of relaxation and took advantage of it to address the hot topics of Nerazzurri current affairs: from the renewal of the coach to the transfer market
“Love doesn’t go on holiday” is not only the title of the famous film starring Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz with Jude Law, but also the Nerazzurri philosophy of Cristian Chivu and Piero Ausilio. Inter’s coach and sporting director recently met in Capri, where they both spent a few days of holiday. But the call of love for Inter never goes away, and so even the holidays were transformed into an opportunity to talk about the transfer market, plan for the future and build the Inter of the future. With one certainty: Chivu on the bench, who already has total agreement for the renewal of his contract (with adjustment) and is just waiting to ratify it in black and white on the first occasion he returns to Milan.
Relax
—
The weekend of the Inter coach and Ausilio under the stacks was relaxing, but without exaggeration. Because in these days the foundations must be laid not only for the permanence – never in question – of the coach, but also with regards to the market. The sports director and coach will certainly have discussed it in Capri, too, even in person despite the constant phone calls between the two. Not mere courtesy calls, but updates on the club’s incoming and outgoing negotiations: Jones, Solet, Palestra, Provedel, but also Frattesi, Luis Henrique, De Vrij, Dumfries. The double in Cristian Chivu’s first season on the Nerazzurri bench did nothing but cement the relationship with Ausilio, which had already been strong since the days when the Romanian was a footballer. Today the role has changed, but the affection has not. Exactly why the love for Inter has faded. Not even on holiday in Capri.
