No match against Spain for Hakan. The problem is not a concern, the Inter player will be in Appiano early to prepare for the match against Milan
On Tuesday, for the Nerazzurri’s recovery in Appiano, together with Lautaro and the Azzurri returning from Italy-Norway, there will be a surprise return: Hakan Calhanoglu was not expected, but will return immediately to Milan, directly from the Turkish retreat. For this reason, he will be immediately available to Cristian Chivu in the preparation of the derby against Milan, a match that excites him for obvious reasons. Calha was supposed to return to Appiano only between Wednesday and Thursday, but he will also anticipate because, without too many regrets, he will miss his Turkey’s match away to Spain scheduled for Tuesday, on the last day of the World Cup qualifying groups. At the basis of the Turkish Football Federation’s decision there is a problem at hand, which however does not worry the Nerazzurri: there have already been the first contacts between the medical staff of Hakan’s national team and the Inter team and the situation seems to be under control in view of Milan. Obviously, however, the Chivu director will be visited in Appiano.

Meanwhile, on Saturday evening, captain Calha did it again: with Turkey’s leader’s armband, he scored a goal and set up an own goal in his team’s 2-0 win against Bulgaria. The next match against Spain will be useless for the purposes of the standings because the Turks are already sure of having to play in the play-off. Calha, however, is banned from a booking and, in the event of a new warning, would miss the much more important semi-final of the playoffs scheduled for March: for this reason, no one is worried about his early return to the Nerazzurri and the problem with his hand. In this context, regardless, an act of prudence on the part of coach Vincenzo Montella would have been wise: “We must be intelligent to manage possible disqualified players well…”, admitted, not surprisingly, the Italian coach after the victory against Bulgaria. “We must not take risks and we will evaluate the situation…”, added Calha as a precaution, who from now on will only think about his former team.
