Various homeowners in Northern Drenthe and the province of Groningen can apply from today to have their house isolated with a subsidy from Nij Begun. Step -by -step opens the new online counter by postcode.

The subsidy can be applied for independently, but you can also be helped. For example, there are special insulation supporters who guide you for free throughout the entire process.

The insulation subsidy comes as a measure from Nij Begun: the compensation for the earthquake damage. The government takes 1.65 billion euros out so that more than 300,000 homes can use it.

The aim is to have all homes meet a so -called ‘insulation standard.’ This means that after the measures the house is in principle ready to get rid of natural gas.

To spread the crowds, the counter opens step by postcode, but there is no need to hurry. The subsidy is available until 3 June 2035. After allocation, the work must be carried out in two years.

Extra attention is paid to the lowest incomes. Households that earn less than 140 percent of the social minimum are fully reimbursed for all measures of up to 40,000 euros. Half of the investment, up to 20,000 euros, is reimbursed for all other households.

Tenants do not have to request anything themselves. The landlord or the housing corporation can do this. The corporations receive a contribution of 222 million euros for insulating and ventilating houses.

To see what measures are needed, you can also have a free insulation plan made. In it you get substantiated advice on which measures can be taken. This plan is not mandatory as long as the total costs remain below 10,000 euros.

The subsidy already opened in June for households that had already taken measures. The step -by -step opening of the counter lasts until August 2026.
