Instagram intervenes and tightens the rules for teenagers: “They cannot change this themselves”

Instagram, a subsidiary of tech giant Meta, introduced stricter rules for teenage accounts on Tuesday. For the time being, these stricter rules only apply in the United States, Canada, Australia and Great Britain. Europe will normally also follow suit in the first quarter of 2026. This is changing.
