Four people were injured yesterday at the end of the afternoon in a serious accident on the N34 near Zuidlaren. Today the police let us know that it is a 29-year-old man, a 59-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman (all three from Gieten) and a 53-year-old man from Emmen.
Just before four o’clock, five cars collided yesterday afternoon. Various ambulances, fire brigade posts and a trauma helicopter pulled out to help the victims. The road was between Zuidlaren and Gieten was then closed to traffic until after nine in the evening.
According to the police, the investigation into the cause of the accident is still in full swing and nothing can be said about how the accident could happen.
