A head-on collision between a tractor and a car took place on the Markerwaardweg in Venhuizen around 8 p.m. tonight. The occupant of the car was injured. Multiple emergency services were deployed and the victim was taken to hospital.
It is unclear how the severe head-on collision on Markerwaardweg could have happened this evening. There was one occupant in both the passenger car and the tractor, a police spokesperson confirmed.
The condition of the victim in the car is unknown at this time. According to a bystander, the occupant of the car was trapped for 45 minutes. The fire service and other emergency services removed the victim from the car.
The photos show that it is a serious collision. The car is a total loss and the wheel of the tractor is off.
