A group of agents who stood on the river fish market around 00.10 heard several bangs. Shortly thereafter, a group of about fifteen boys fled through Jansstraat via the Begijnstraat. None of them was found after a search by the police.
One of the boys from the group indicated that they were ‘shot at’ and was slightly injured. His injuries did not have to be treated. Research showed that more people from the fled group may have been injured by the shooting.
The police ask the suspected victims to report. Witnesses or people who have camera images from Jansstraat and Begijnhof between 11.30 pm and 00.15 am is also asked to contact the police.
