Ingrid Coenradie finds it ridiculous that Marjolein Faber never shows himself in a talk show. She thinks her former PVV colleague is only sending. “She doesn’t want to come now!”

The 37-year-old former minister Ingrid Coenradie left the PVV with some impossible. She is now active for the party of Joost Eerdmans, Ja21, but until recently she was in the same cabinet as former asylum minister Marjolein Faber. She publishes a book about the fallen cabinet and her position in it. Interesting, says Ingrid, she says in RTL Tonight.

224 Pages

Ingrid says it is curious about it. “Because 224 pages you say? Then it says something about how she experienced it. I am curious, especially whether it continues the tone of: we are opposed as a PVV.”

Host Humberto Tan: “You don’t think that, isn’t it?”

Ingrid: “Well, I think much more nuanced about that and I have seen in the past year that she has not always had it easy, I saw that in debates, but at the same time she also has a responsibility to do a political probing.”

Political

Political probing is an important part of political companies in The Hague. “That means that if you have an idea, you look at other political parties what they think and whether it has support. She didn’t do that.”

She continues: “I now also know about my own party leader, Joost Eerdmans, that they have barely changed a word with each other. So she never went to him, for example.”

Team

Marjolein just did not function properly if Ingrid wants to say. “You also have a whole team for that. Spokespersons and all kinds of employees. That is really a big team, I had that too. People who familiarize you with: how does the political playing field work in The Hague?”

She continues: “She also had experience in The Hague, because she was in the Senate, so knew how that game worked. Yes, she didn’t play that the way I had tackled it anyway.”

Talk shows

At the moment, Marjolein also does not want to give interviews about her new book. Strange, says Ingrid. “I also think: had taken some time to sit down at the table with talk shows and to tell your story there and tell how things are going and take people with you in what you encounter.”

She concludes: “Had that done, because now you are sending in a book. I don’t want to give interviews about it either, so it is sending again and the rest is up to the Netherlands.”
