In mid -July Hanna Hirvonen and Veeti Tikkanen have started a gig.

Particularly during the golden age of the Tango Market in the 90s, fresh royals got their gigs full of gigs throughout the year. Among other things, the 1991 tango king Jaska Mäkynen has said that he has done as many as 34 gigs a month in the busiest months.

Currently, less than 30 gigs are added to Hirvonen and Tikkanen’s joint gig calendar. The markings will end on this year’s Christmas Eve.

The first gigs Hirvonen and Tikkanen made Pavi on the dance floor in Vantaa, at Vesivehma’s Yankkapirt and Orimattila on the Mäntymäki stage. The tour of the 2023 tango queen Charlotta Saari and Ibiscus Orchestra will be on the tour.

Iltalehti asked how many visitors have had the first gigs of the new tango royal.

Vantaa Pavi Dance Stage Executive Director Karoliina Inkilä tells Iltalehti that a total of 303 visitors visited the dance floor on Friday, July 18th.

The Yankkapirtti of Vesivehma does not disclose the number of visitors to the public, citing business secrets.

On Sunday, July 20, Orimattila had 170 visitors on the Mäntymäki stage. CEO of Gramofon Program Office Toni campfire is happy with the number of Sunday dances.

– The royalists have already received more performances in the autumn, so they have been interested in a positive way. They have both young and experience, it is a nice combination, the campfire describes Tikka and Hirvo.

Tango Market received a lot of attention this year when the Place in the Sun Concert and the Singing Competition were performed on YLE channels after years. This year’s event attracted over 55,000 visitors to the site and the broadcasts of YLE reached a total of nearly two million spectators on linear television.
