Individual criticism
The long stuttering German game only got better in the second half. Outstanding: Agile Klara Bühl. The two full -backs are also strong. The DFB team in individual criticism.
Ann-Katrin Berger (goal): A lot of body language right from the start, very awake game of the German keeper, who temporarily gave a kind of libero. Bitter the goal for 0: 1 in the short corner – it was hit too hard to hold it. Strong parade in the 44th minute against a volley from Sara Holmgard.
Sarai Linder (defense): Very strong defense campaign after 25 minutes when she ran the duch -broken Pernille Harder on the way to the goal. Almost a distance hit in the 40th minute when her volley shot from 20 meters could be parried by the Danish keeper. Is still a constant on the left defense. Hardly makes any mistakes. Pass rate of 98 percent.
Rebecca Knaak (defense): Pernille Harder seemed to be the main task. The German central defense was brilliant against the top player of FC Bayern. The goalkeeper completely covered Knaak and Minge. Unfortunately, there were occasionally rooms for Harder’s teammates in the counter game. The situation before the 0: 1 was exemplary: after Dallmann’s loss of ball, Knaak was not close enough to goal scorer Vangsgaard and could not prevent the conclusion.
Janina Minge (defense): Like Knaak: Very confident and safe in the game against Harder, so the distances between the two German central defenders were right. Well your building game too. Passes at the center with good pace and accuracy. With counterattacks of the Danes, however, again and again in the bredouille. But what was also due to the fact that there was too little support from the defensive midfield.
Strong: Janina Minge.
Carlotta Wamser (defense): Brave, brave, Carlotta Wamser. The right -back, who replaces Giulia Gwinn, showed the urge to go for Denmark that you know and appreciate her. Again and again she pushed wide and attacked the Danish opponents on her side in half. Determined in the end. Nice volley in the 51st minute. Was in four direct duels that she all won.
Elisa Sense (midfield): After a few tactical defects in the opening game against Poland, the 55 kg light fighter in midfield wanted to concentrate more on her core competence again: duels, ball winnings. She showed that from the start. Different Danish women painfully moved her face after encounters with the Frankfurt native. All in all, together with Nüsken, she could not completely close the central midfield. The Danish women repeatedly prevail in this area. Better in the second section than the division with Nüsken and Dallmann and later fit better with free -range.
Eager, often impetuous: Elisa Sense
Sjoeke Nüsken (midfield): Long the unfinished in this game. Had grabbed the ball when the referee had shown the penalty point in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, the penalty from the variety was collected. In the 42nd minute with the huge chance of equalization, five meters in front of the goal she was too surprised. When she was allowed to compete in the 56th minute to the penalty, she showed herself nervous and converted safely.
Linda Dallmann (midfield): Like against Poland: The offensive midfielder of FC Bayern did not come into play. Looked a bit like a foreign body in the German offensive, in which fire and Bühl vibrated around them. Seriously her loss of ball before the 0: 1, which she heralded with an unconditional bad pass. In the second section, with a good depth run, published the penalty, which led to 1-1. Out after 70 minutes.
Klara Bühl (midfield): Had start -up difficulties in the first match against Poland – this time she started like the fire brigade. Made the alarm on her left side. Dribble, played a change of sides, was in the game. Beautiful shot for the supposed 1-0 after almost 20 minutes, which did not count because of the Nüsken-Age. Most active and best German player.
Jule Brand (midfield): After the gala appearance against Poland, the 22-year-old against Denmark could hardly be seen in the first section. In the second section, they finally tried their dribbles from right to the center and then ended with left. But the Danes had this on the screen and blocked the talented German. Nice preparatory work to 2: 1 by Schüller.
Lea Schüller (attack): Where was Lea Schüller in the first section? The German scorer remained invisible. Certainly had to do with the sometimes impetuous, unsorted attack game, which hardly led to clear actions. But you could not deny the center striker from FC Bayern a certain passivity. But what does a goalkeeper do from the blow of a Schüller? It is freezing cold when the chance arises in the 66th minute it will be released and turns ice cold. Replaced after 70 minutes.
Laura Freiegel (midfield) from 70th for Dallmann: Also had trouble finding their position in the offensive German game. Still more active than Dallmann before. But there is still a lack of coordination, especially with Nüsken, with which she repeatedly acted on a line.
Giovanna Hoffmann (attack) from 70th for Schüller: Right with a beautiful header to Linder’s flank (75th). Was strong and offered himself again and again. An asset.
Kathy Hendrich (defense) from 80th for Knaak: Sorted in at the back. But had no more striking actions.
Cora Zicai (attack) from 90+6. For fire: –
