Indiana Jones and the dial of fate

**** (Four stars)

It’s true, Harrison Ford “it’s big”. But it is not new because it was always great. AND Indiana Jones He is a character that was born out of nostalgia, so this fifth adventure -and last one- curls the loop by playing a little with our own nostalgia for that character who was funny because he was anachronistic. Is another Indy adventure necessary? They were never necessary, friends: they were always wild fun, sometimes for free (The Temple of Doom) that made them great.

Here there is an odd couplea constant game with the character out of time but in his own moral time, perfect moments of action and adventure and a nice twist towards the end. But the most important thing is that the director is James Mangoldand this is both Ford’s film and that of Spielberglike that of the director himself (who did something similar with the little valued Explosive Encounter, that of Tom Cruise and Cameron Dayz where the former parodied himself as an action hero).

The real theme of this movie is Over time, and it is not bad if we take into account that Indy was always on the run and now he is not so fast. Understanding that and entertaining with nobility is enough for the farewell to be satisfactory.
