Indiana Jones 5 cast names leaked

Harrison Ford recently announced that he will play archaeologist Indy for the last time in the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones film series. At the Disney D23 trade fair last weekend (September 9th to 11th), more names were leaked that will be shown in the new part.

It will include a reunion with John Rhys-Davies as Sallah, the Egyptian excavator and Indy’s good friend. Sallah has previously appeared in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Also starring is Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood, according to MakingStarWars.net’s Jason Ward. She also starred in Raiders of the Lost Ark and 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Will Indy’s godchild Helena be presented?

As is well known, the actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who can be seen in the comedy series “Fleabag”, among other things, is also at the start. So far it is clear about her character that her name is Helena and she is Indy’s godchild. In the course of this, it is still rumored whether Indy’s friend Markus Brody, who died like Denholm Elliott who embodies him, is related to Helena or her father.

So it would make sense for Marion Ravenwood to actually star in the prequel since Helena could be her daughter. The new character’s clothing was also unveiled at the Expo – and it was very similar to Ravenwood’s. Nevertheless, the constellation is very unlikely in view of the fourth part, since Indy was very surprised when he found out about Marion Ravenwood’s son Mutt (Shia LaBeouf).

What about Short Round aka Shorty?

The D23 also saw a reunion between Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan, who played 12-year-old Short Round in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He is now 51 and made a small comeback this year with the film Everything Everywhere All At Once. Could Shorty make a cameo in the new Indy epic?

The official title of Indiana Jones 5 is not yet known. An official trailer has not yet been released either. What is certain, however, is that the film, directed by James Mangold, will be released in cinemas on June 29, 2023.
