Independiente, after Covid all his hair falls out: goalkeeper Sebastian Sosa gets a lion tattooed

The story of the 36-year-old Uruguayan behind the incredible tattoo …

His debut in the national team at the age of 36 with Uruguay last June 11 in the friendly match won by Celeste 5-0 against Panama. Independiente’s 1986-born goalkeeper Sebastian Sosa entered in the 75th minute in place of Fernando Muslera, making his first appearance with his national team.

Without feeling sorry for the lost hair

Sosa has also been called up for this latest round of international friendlies against Iran and Canada. And the 36-year-old didn’t miss the chance to show off his incredible tattoo behind his head: a lion.

The reason? Sosa had lost his hair after contracting Covid-19 in the summer of 2020. The goalkeeper therefore opted for this tattoo to remedy the situation. Sosa himself explained: “I had Covid-19 in July 2020 and at the end of August my hair started falling out suddenly. I knew it was a consequence of Covid and since I had few left, I decided to shave. I wanted to tattoo a lion behind my head because I’ve always liked them. The tattoo didn’t hurt me and it took seven hours to complete ”.
