Increase in violence against gays in Amsterdam cruise area: ‘They prefer to attack one vulnerable person’

Nine victims have reported to the Amsterdam police in the past two months because they were attacked by groups of young people near a gay meeting place. Freek Broekman, spokesperson for interest group COC, is not surprised: “Violence against the community happens everywhere in Amsterdam.”
