A hearse is said to have lost a coffin in the Polish city of Pulawy. This is reported by Dziennik Wschodni. In fact: Photos on the net show a wooden chest in the middle of a busy road.

The portal claims to have reached the owner of the funeral home concerned. When Grazyna Wozniak from “Memento Mori” saw the pictures, she first thought of a photomontage. But then she saw the name of her company on the hearse and did not want to deny that it was her vehicle.

Wozniak confronted the clerk, who denied the matter and went home.

The undertaker emphasizes that the coffin was empty. The Pole points to another photo that is supposed to show the employee in shorts. If drivers were to drive bodies to burials, drivers would wear formal attire.

When asked how the coffin could have fallen out of the moving car, Grazyna Wozniak said the safety device probably failed. Or the driver was absent-minded.
