We see meadow pipits and warblers flying, look where the fragrant Solomon’s seal grows and we even see a rabbit. “In the past, there were a lot of rabbits and you would see hundreds of them in a day. They have become scarce due to the diseases myxomatosis and VHS. Now, if you walk through the dune for a day, you would be lucky if you counted a handful of rabbits.”
The dunes are constantly changing. “After the Wadden, it is the most dynamic nature in our country.”
