In St. Petersburg, raids on establishments boycotting QR codes took place

As RBC Petersburg reported earlier, restaurateur Alexander Konovalov announced a campaign against business restrictions. As of January 10th, supported 76 organizations. Among them are public catering, foreign language studios, yoga studios, art spaces, health centers.

Since January 2, the authorities of St. Petersburg tightened coronavirus restrictions. Now visitors to shopping centers, cafes, restaurants and shops must present a QR code confirming vaccination or having had COVID-19, or a certificate of medical exemption from vaccination along with a negative PCR test.

However, the requirement for QR codes does not apply to grocery stores, convenience stores, shops without a trading floor, pharmacies, gas stations, industrial canteens and cafes on the territory of railway stations and airports.
