In recent years, the suspect SR has been a youth coach of the football clubs ADO ’20, BVC Bloemendaal and Koninklijke HFC. SR, aged 21, approached ten young football players between 11 and 14 years old via Snapchat. The chats started innocently, but the suspect soon made the conversations sexual.
Ajax cards in exchange for nude photos
He asked several boys to send nude photos or videos of himself. Whoever refused was put under pressure over and over again. He also lured with promises: high amounts of money, brand shoes or tickets for Ajax matches. In four cases the boys eventually sent photos, in four other cases it remained an attempt.
The man also tried to meet with two boys in real life to kiss or perform sexual acts. In addition, during his suspension he also falsified a declaration of behavior (VOG). With that he managed to get a job at a primary school where he has worked.
“He didn’t care about the children”
“The suspect was sophisticated and did not care about the young age of these children and the consequences they can experience of his actions,” the court judges. “It is worrying that the suspect hardly seems to see how bad he acted.”
The court imposed him a 18 -month prison sentence, half of which was conditional, with a probationary period of 3 years. In those 3 years he has to cooperate with the probation service and be treated by a mental healthcare institution immediately after his detention.
In that period he is not allowed to contact his victims and not dealing with minors without an adult. He also receives a ban on working at sports clubs or in education.
