The introduction of theRelationship education aims to undermine beliefs and stereotypes and counter the dramatic episodes of violence that marked the summer just ended. Discussion groups on urgent topics

From the first information on the functioning of the new courses, each institute will be able to train on an autonomous basis a team of 6 to 12 students. These will meet from November until March at least once every two weeks and they will discuss “topics that are new for compulsory school but have become more “urgent” than ever» such as respect for others, the construction of emotional relationships, gender perception, stereotypes, and so on.

What is the Balint method

The working approach used will be the «Balint method“, a “proven experiential training methodology originally created by psychoanalyst Michael Balint, centered on the group’s action as a tool to facilitate thought». Finally, it is not excluded that professional figures may also intervene where required, such as consultants to the working groups and their teachers.
