Author Miki Liukkonen little sisters Mia and Annina tell about the farewell letter left by their brother in Me Naiset magazine.

Miki, who suffered from mental health problems, died in July 2023. Before his suicide, Liukkonen wrote farewell letters to his loved ones.

The sisters received a joint letter.

– Miki wished happiness in our lives. He asked us to always remain as funny and said that what happened is no one’s fault. That’s what he wanted to make clear to everyone, Anniina says Me Naisin.

– This was no one’s fault, I just didn’t want to live. Too fragile, sensitive, painful. Don’t blame yourself, Liukkonen wrote.

During his lifetime, Liukkonen wrote five novels, three poetry collections and one picture book intended for adults. Liukkonen was 33 years old when he died.
