Now that their postponed tour of ‘Veel te Mooi’ is over for 30 years, Erik Van Neygen (70) and Sanne Denotté (49) are focusing more than ever on their five grandchildren. They are the regular babysitters for Artie (1.5), the son of daughter Maartje Van Neygen (26). “He gives us energy and life force,” the two say. In a double interview, the couple talks about the difficult birth of their grandchild, the influence of toddler Artie in the house and the winding down of their musical career. “Financially, we no longer need it, so we can be selective in our projects.”
