Who could have guessed in June 2019 what would happen in the months that followed. At that time, the Hurricane and Southside Festival announced their first headliner with Seeed, but the corona pandemic thwarted all plans. But the band keeps their word, no matter what: in 2022, Seeed will perform at the twin festival and make their fans in the north and south of the republic dance on Friday (Hurricane) and Saturday evening (Southside).
“Seeed are back to pump the dub into your hearts. They are the self-proclaimed ‘mobile reggae special task force’ and let the sound storm through your ranks until every single bead of sweat twerks to the beat,” enthuses the Hurricane Festival about its headliners. And of course they’re not exaggerating a bit. Anyone who knows the band knows that their forte live and on record is a good beat that almost nobody can resist. The feeling of having to move is even amplified by the dancehall and reggae formation on stage – thanks to good timing and an outstanding stage performance.
Seeed live are something like the reference value for the heaviest show, the biggest party and adrenaline that shoots out of the pores like powder from a fire extinguisher. They don’t put out any fires at all. On the contrary: They ignite the hype and only need the first two bars of the show to do so. If any. – Hurricane Festival
Who still has tickets to the festivals hurricanes in Scheeßel and Southside in Neuhausen ob Eck (both June 17th to 19th) should hurry up.
