I can’t promise anything,” said Schoof. “I think it is important that we really see, also as a cabinet, how important such a memorial center is and that we really want to do something for that. And what is important is that the stories are not only the stories.”
Schoof mentions the stories of Weyl and Dresden. The women think that the search for a game of money is the least that can do. “They actually have to come regularly,” says Weyl about ministers. “They do not realize how important this place is. For the preservation of memory and that you know what freedom is. You only know when it is taken.”
Dresden complements her girlfriend. “I don’t think it’s enough. It also needs to be acted.” She hopes that Schoof will come over the bridge with a lot of money. “It is nice to make it penetrate what happens here. But then you also have to take measures.”
The reminder center must be made future -proof, she thinks. So that future generations can experience history where it happened. “It is so important that they not only understand what is happening with their heads, by knowing facts, but also that they feel what it actually means.”
