Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band also play a concert in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen as part of their tour of Germany. It is still unclear whether Steven van Zandt is there. The guitarist last had to deregister because of an operation.

While many fans of the singer are already looking forward to the gig on June 27 (admission is from 6:00 p.m., the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.), there is an important message for the journey that many will be happy.

The A42 descent Gelsenkirchen-Schalke has been released again for a few days. Tens of thousands of visitors who travel to the Veltins Arena by car can do without nerve-wracking and time-consuming detours.

Way free for Bruce Springsteen in the Veltins-Arena

The motorway exit was closed in both directions for a few weeks due to important construction work. Autobahn GmbH, responsible for the construction site, confirmed to the “Derwesten” news portal that the work was completed in good time for the Springsteen concert (and previously Robbie Williams). In a few days, Iron Maiden will also appear at Schalke 04’s home venue.

Despite this relaxation on the Straoe, high traffic is still to be expected. In general, the following applies: by car you can reach the A2 via exit 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) and the exit 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) on the A42 directly to the arena. From the junctions, please follow the signage to the Veltins-Arena.

However, the organizers recommend not parking directly in the vicinity of the Veltins-Arena. A carpool creates relief. There is also a drop-off parking lot on the gels water. From here you can walk to the stadium without stress or drive with the tram (Willy-Brandt-Allee stop).
