“Important signal that house arrest is a reasonable measure”: Bart De Wever responds to the Council of State’s ruling

The Council of State has decided not to grant the complaint of a young person from Antwerp against house arrest imposed on New Year’s Eve. This measure was implemented by Mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) for 51 young people who have caused problems in the past. The ruling is “an important signal that preventive house arrest is a reasonable administrative measure.” This is what Antwerp mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) said in an initial response.
