According to Ilta-Sanomat, the ski coach died at the age of 87.

Former head coach of the Finnish cross -country ski team Immo87, is dead, says Ilta-Sanomat. The sad news was confirmed to IS from the Kuutsa family.
The legendary ski coach was elected coach of the year in 1978.
Under Kuutsa, success was rived by, among other things Juha Mieto and Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi.
Kuutsa also worked as a biathlon at the 1970s and 1980s.
