Imma Tataranni 3the plot of the last episode

«How does it feel to see life from the outside?». It is the question that Imma Tataranni must answer when she realizes that she has just been overwhelmed by a tsunami. While she is intent on asking Calogiuri (Alessio Lapice) for information about his elusive behavior, Pietro (Massimiliano Gallo) goes out with Sara (Sara Drago). They spend the evening first in a club and then sneak into the archaeological museum of Matera where the paleontologist works.

Sara Strippoli is on the crest of a wave after the discovery of the fossil of a whale dating back two thousand years ago. She’s proud of the discovery, but even happier to spend time with Pietro, the special man she fell in love with. After confessing her feelings to him, she kisses him. A moment later, however, while I’m in the dark, Sara disappears. A few seconds later, Pietro finds her lying on the ground, dead.

Although I’m devastated, Imma still manages to stay clear and find the truth. However, her marriage to Pietro is on the brink of collapse. She is forced to face reality and, perhaps for the first time, she decides to act without thinking about the consequences. So she finally confronts Calogiuri, but Ippazio catches her off guard and makes a shocking revelation.

What happens between Imma and Calogiuri?

Pietro is the prime suspect and the doors of hell open wide for Imma Tataranni. She is removed from the investigation and requests a leave of absence. He also learns about the relationship between Pietro and Sara, a hard blow to take for the deputy prosecutor, who finds himself on the other side for the first time.

Although she is deeply hurt by her husband’s betrayal, she decides to help him by carrying out parallel investigations with the complicity of the trusted chancellor Diana De Santis (Barbara Ronchi). Meanwhile the relationship with Calogiuri also breaks down. The cause is the attack on Romaniello (Cesare Bocci) in which the marshal was involved.

After the period spent in a coma, he is different, determined to seek the truth. Imma tells him not to get into trouble, but she is of no use. And at the end, Ippazio gathers enough information to discover that the instigator is the entrepreneur Cenzino Latronico. The case seems closed, but here comes the twist. Latronico died twenty years earlier. So Imma finds herself having to solve a new mystery while her private life falls apart.

Imma Tataranni 3: the evolution of the characters

The last episode of Imma Tataranni 3 presents one twist after another. Well, what is striking is not only the events that make the narrative even more compelling, but also the evolution of the characters. Each of the protagonists makes significant growth and shows new facets. Above all, it delves deep into everyone. Starting from Imma.

Within a few hours, she is no longer just the upright deputy prosecutor, but also the wife of a man suspected of having killed her lover. And she is forced to take stock of her life, from her commitment to work to her relationship with Pietro. In this chaos, there is Valentina (Alice Azzariti), the newly adult daughter who has returned to Matera from Naples. On the one hand, she is in crisis about the university; on the other, she sees her father involved in a judicial investigation. And it is up to Imma to keep the pieces together, which she manages to do without ever abandoning the irony and frankness that distinguish her.

Peter and Ippazio, the two men of Imma

Pietro, then, is always the fearful man that the public has come to know, but now he reveals new sides of himselfespecially in his relationship with Imma. There is a chasm between him and his wife. The distance did not begin with Sara’s murder, but some time before. When he felt left aside, not up to par and he found in the paleontologist a person who understood him without judging. And now he is aware that marriage is at a crossroads from which there is no turning back.

At the same time, Ippazio Calogiuri is no longer the awkward boy in love with his boss, but a man determined to get what he wants. And in a certain sense it is he who forces Imma to deal with her feelings once and for all. Then there are the lateral but fundamental characters, like Diana. In Imma Tataranni 3 she is committed to the frantic search for love, but it is only when she gains confidence in herself that she can truly say she is ready to meet the right man.

How not to mention, finally, Filomena De Ruggeri (Dora Romano), Imma’s fearsome mother-in-law. The back and forth with the daughter-in-law are the order of the day, but in the last episode we witness a truly engaging escalation between comedy and desperation. Everyone – including the other characters, starting with the prosecutor Vitali (Carlo Buccirosso) – they return a kaleidoscope of irresistible personalities. And who knows what will happen in the fourth season, already in production.
